School of Paramedical Sciences

School of paramedical sciences is having three diploma and two degree program. They are Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (PGDMLT), Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician (OT), B. Voc. Med. Lab. Technology(BMLT) and B. Voc. Med. Image Technology (BMIT). The school is having well equipped Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Hematology laboratory and Computer center as per the norms of MSBTE and BATU. Currently we are project institute for curriculum development of DMLT and BMLT as experienced and qualified faculty members are working in school. The school is also involved in social and co-curricular activities. School is having MOU with different diagnostic centers, which conduct placement drive every year to hire our skilled students.

Vision

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology will be on forefront for betterment of national health by incubating competent paramedical skills with human values amongst the learners.

Mission

M1-Training to develop efficient paramedical technicians to assist medical practitioners
M2 – To develop human resources to support different body fluid donation, checkup and analysis camps
M3 – Extending health care services to the society for betterment of mankind
M4 – Explore and acquire proficiency in advanced lab diagnostic technique.

M1- वैद्यकीय व्यावसायिकांना मदत करण्यासाठी कार्यक्षम पॅरामेडिकल तंत्रज्ञ तयार करणे.
M2 – शरीरातील विविध द्रव दान, तपासणी आणि विश्लेषण शिबिरांना सहकार्य करणारे मनुष्यबळ तयार करणे.
M3 – मानवजातीच्या कल्याणासाठी समाजात आरोग्य सेवांचा विस्तार करणे. M4 – प्रगत प्रयोगशाळा निदान तंत्रज्ञान आत्मसात करून प्राविण्य मिळविणे.

Program Outcomes (pos):-

PO 1 :- Basic Knowledge: Apply knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology to solve the broad-based diagnosis problem in medical laboratory technology.
PO 2 :- Discipline Knowledge: Apply medical laboratory technology knowledge to solve broad based medical laboratory technology related problems.
PO 3 :- Experiments and practices: Plan to perform experiments and practices to use the results to solve broad based medical laboratory technology related problems.
PO 4 :- Diagnostic tools: Apply relevant medical laboratory technologies and tools with an understanding of the limitations.
PO 5 :- The technician and society: Assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to practice in field of medical laboratory technology.
PO 6 :- Environment and sustainability: Apply medical technology solutions also for sustainable development practices in societal and environmental contexts.
PO 7 :- Ethics: Apply ethical principles for commitment to professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of the practice also in the field of medical laboratory technology.
PO 8 :- Individual and team work: Function effectively as a leader and team member in diverse/multidisciplinary teams.
PO 9 :- Communication: Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
PO 10 :- Life-long learning: Engage in independent and life-long learning activities in the context of technological changes also in the medical laboratory technology and allied industry.
