Gramin Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established by the founder Secretary Late Shivramji Pawar in 1965 with noble cause to disseminate education to grass root peoples for their social and economic prosperity. His watchword was “I belongs to this motherland and this motherland is mine” with strong belief to do everything for betterment of people of this motherland. We are still continuing this colossal task by keeping his vision in mind. Nurturing education from nursery to Post Graduate professionals, we try to maintain the high standards set by him, follow the rich traditions, emulate his principles and thrive on his ethos and philosophy.

Indeed, it gives me an immense delight to put forth the overview of Gramin Polytechnic, Vishnupuri, Nanded. Its fruitful journey began in 1983, under the visionary leadership of the Founder Secretary, Shri Shivramji Pawar who envisioned the dream of empowering the rural youth by providing the wings of quality technical education.

Around the four decades this institute has blossomed into a splendid & magnificent technical campus and is recognized for its pivotal role in technical education along with strong sense of discipline amongst the learners. In no time, it has become the first choice of National and Multi-national industries. It has set a track record of success by achieving NBA Accreditation for its Computer, Mechanical and Electronics branches during the academic year 2014-17. It also has ISO 2009 Certification to its credit and consecutively being awarded with Excellent Grade by MSBTE, Mumbai.

With due respect to the requests from students, parents and industries, it has introduced UG programmes under the name of Gramin College of Engineering, [GRACE] on 5th August, 2017. It was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Senior Nuclear Scientist, Padmavibhushan, Dr. Anil Kakodkar who anticipated this institute to achieve great heights of excellence in technical education. In no time, the institute has set a unique disciplinary and industrious work culture to orient students as per the requirements of industries.

Meanwhile, Gramin Polytechnic has introduced Bachelor Programme in Hotel Management and Catering Technology [BHMCT] and is suitably renamed as Gramin Technical & Management Campus in the academic year 2019-20. In order to escalate the academic consistency and standardization of teaching & learning process, Gramin College of Engineering has been merged into Gramin Technical & Management Campus from the academic year 2021-22.

Currently, it runs Diploma & Degree in Engineering, Diploma and Degree in Hotel Management and Paramedical Programmes under one roof. Its highly qualified & experienced faculties keep disseminating the recent knowledge of engineering and technology to students, whole heartedly and devotedly. “Technology as a Religion and Quality is the Motto” in line with this statement, we intend to provide the fruitful environment to the learners and academicians alike. Our students learn the joy as well as the rigors of new discovery and acquire skills of inquiry, evaluation and communication that provide a foundation for the next phases of their careers and lives.
